This is America before the Black Tuesday Crash of 1929 and the Great Depression which followed - proudly superior and confident and belligerently patriotic. This is the Yucca Vine Tower, 6305-09 Yucca Street (at Vine) – by H. L. Gogerty of Gogerty & Weyl Architects, 1928 - a study in seriously heroic Art Deco.
