Late May in Los Angeles is the dark time. Day after day a low cloud-deck the rolls in off the Pacific at dawn, and the sun may not come out at all. But that's okay. The light is translucent all day, and what is blooming in all the gardens pops out, out of the gloom, rather mysteriously. It's kind of cool. This was Will Rogers Memorial Park in Beverly Hills on one of those days, Saturday, May 24, 2014.
