There's a good bookstore on Vermont Avenue in Los Feliz Village, just east of Hollywood, nestled under Griffith Park – but that makes sense. Raymond Chandler lived here for a time, and so did Will and Ariel Durant, and so did Howard Hughes and Shepard Fairey, oddly enough.
