The Korean Bell of Friendship and Bell Pavilion, Angels Gate Park, San Pedro - at the southern tip of Los Angeles on the cliffs above the Pacific - donated in 1976 by the Republic of Korea for our Bicentennial. The gift was to honor veterans of the Korean War and "to consolidate traditional friendship between the two countries." The Democratic People's Republic of Korea didn't send a gift. That's okay. This is now one of the best places in Los Angeles.
