Joan Miró joined the Surrealist group in Paris in 1924 and he hung out with the Dada crowd too. He considered surrealism a sandbox for the subconscious mind, and he had fun in that sandbox. Now there's a mural in the manner of Miró at the corner of Melrose and Laurel in West Los Angeles, across the street from the appropriate period Art Deco building, under the surreal skies.
