Some Art Deco was concrete. There's the Wilshire Theater, 8440 Wilshire Boulevard – the "Fox Wilshire" when it opened on September 19, 1930 – designed by the architect S. Charles Lee. For decades it was one of Fox's premier movie palaces out here, but no one has shown a movie there in decades.
